About The Position

The Dayforce HRIS Manager will provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of our Human Resources Information Systems, with a primary focus on the Dayforce platform. This role is critical to ensuring our HR technology infrastructure supports the organization's mission by enhancing efficiency, maintaining data integrity, and enabling informed decision-making. This person will be an HRIS subject matter expert capable of optimizing the HRIS stack in a fast-paced, not-for-profit environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Will accept 7-10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience, with at least 3 years in a team lead role.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience as a Dayforce system administrator and subject matter expert is required.
  • Proven experience with the Dayforce HCM suite, including Payroll, Benefits, WFM, Talent Management, and Recruiting modules.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing and managing complex HRIS projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL and data integration processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • System Ownership: Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Dayforce HCM platform, including core HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management modules.
  • Roadmap Development: Design and lead the HRIS roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance system capabilities and maximize the value of our technology investments to support organizational goals.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to analyze business processes and implement innovative Dayforce solutions that improve workflows, reduce administrative burden, and enhance the user experience.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure the HRIS configuration and all related processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including data privacy standards specific to the nonprofit sector.
  • Configuration and Implementation: Lead the configuration and rollout of new Dayforce modules, features, and system updates. This includes project planning, testing, and change management.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of all employee data within Dayforce through regular audits and established data governance procedures.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics using Dayforce's reporting tools to provide valuable insights to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues related to Dayforce, working with internal teams and the vendor to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Data Integrity: Develop, implement, and enforce processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all HR data within Dayforce. Conduct regular system audits and data validation exercises to identify and resolve discrepancies proactively.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Lead the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide valuable insights to HR and business leaders.
  • Strategic Insights: Translate complex HR data into actionable recommendations that inform talent strategies, optimize workforce planning, and support organizational goals. This includes analyzing trends related to turnover, headcount, compensation, and DEI initiatives.
  • Compliance Reporting: Ensure all required data and reporting for regulatory compliance (e.g., EEO-1, ACA) and non-profit-specific requirements are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Self-Service Enablement: Manage the ad-hoc reporting capabilities for end-users, and develop training to assist managers and other staff in leveraging data for their specific needs.
  • Training Programs: Develop and deliver comprehensive training and documentation for HR staff, managers, and end-users to ensure the effective use of the Dayforce system.
  • User Support: Provide expert-level support and guidance to users, promoting system adoption and a seamless user experience.
  • Best Practices: Advise on Dayforce best practices to ensure the organization is maximizing the system's potential.
  • Leadership: Mentor a team of HRIS and HR Operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the HRIS team, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless system integrations and alignment with broader business objectives.
