Daycare Kitchen Driver( Part-time)
About The Position
We are looking for a Part-time kitchen driver who will report to the Head Chef, who acts as an integral member of the Inspire Early Education team, to assist in the flow of day-to-day kitchen operations through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement. We want to work with people who are committed to going above and beyond in customer service. Those with a friendly, outgoing personality that is appropriate for a child care center environment, as well as those with experience with children, will be given special consideration. You will need to have a tidy appearance and respectful manners.
Requirements
- Days/hours- Monday to Friday (8:00 am- 12:00 pm)
- Minimum 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
- 3+ years of driving or work-related experience is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Excellent physical condition: able to lift heavy loads (50+ lbs)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to calmly assess problems and determine sensible solutions
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a daycare setting would be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Load vans according to delivery manifests
- Follow the route and schedule as stated to ensure on-time deliveries
- Maintaining clean vehicle and cargo spaces daily
- Fleet preparation work as assigned
- Report issues or the appearance of warning lights immediately
- Every day, inspect functional lights and signals, as well as wear and tear
- Clean delivery bags and Cambro equipment thoroughly
- Storing/organizing delivery equipment so that it is ready for use the next day
