About The Position

This role is for a Child Care Cook, also known as a Food Specialist, responsible for the overall food preparation for the children enrolled at the school. The individual in this position must be able to adapt to menu changes and ensure that meal and snack schedules are met. It is described as more than just a daycare job, offering a journey of learning, growth, thriving, and play every day within a childcare center.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school's menu and budget, adhering to state and federal requirements.
• Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff and distribute food to the classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
