About The Position

We are seeking a nurturing and attentive daycare caregiver to join our team. The daycare caregiver will be responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment for children under our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. Daycare Caregivers have the opportunity to work seasonally part or full time, or there will be opportunities to work between seasons into year-round.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing situations.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
• Ability to lift and carry children and/or heavy objects as needed.
• Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in our care, both indoors and outdoors.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate and engage children, including arts and crafts, games, and storytelling.
• Follow daycare policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of all children.
• Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment, including cleaning toys, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing materials.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's day, including activities, meals, and any concerns or issues that arise.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Diaper changing and bathroom assistance.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to children as they navigate social interactions and develop interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure the smooth operation of the daycare and the implementation of our curriculum.
