Under the direction of the project manager, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties for office buildings and related areas. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. Responsibilities and duties of this position include: Essential functions • Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing of flooring and stairs • Clean and sanitize bathrooms. • Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls. • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary. • Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. • Collect recyclable materials and take them to appropriate area to be sorted. • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. • Clean windowsills, windows, stairwells. • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner. • Maintain and use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner. • Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times. • Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals. • Report any damage to cleaning equipment. • Report maintenance needs to project manager or supervisor. • Other duties as assigned.
