About The Position
New Horizons is looking for a Day Program Support employee to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals. A Day Program Support employee will work with the individual(s), providing instruction in activities of daily living, transporting to and from community resources and events, teaching new skills, and assisting with personal care needs while the individual(s) attends the Life Skills Day Program. A successful Day Program Support employee will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive relationship with the individual(s) they support. The Day Program Support employee will need to utilize problem solving, time management, and organizational skills while working with the individual(s) they support. Day Program Support employees make a positive difference in the life of the individual(s) they support.
Requirements
- Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver's License
- Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification
- Drug Test required
- Background report and driving record required
- TB test required
