Make a DIFFERENCE for Your Career!  Mon-Fri    Day Time Hrs    40 hrs/wok Under the direction of the Vice President of Day and Employment Services, the Director will be responsible for the coordination and general management of the day program. The Director will develop a system of support and advocacy to all individuals and families. Position supervises Case Managers, Developmental Specialists, Habilitation Specialists, and Day Program RNs and LPNs as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years supervisory experience preferred
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required
• PABC certification required
• Driver's license and insured vehicle required—may be expected to transport individuals

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for the recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of all program staff, including but not limited to:
• Review job descriptions, salaries, staffing patterns annually
• Participate in the screening and selection of all program staff
• Participate in all intake meetings of candidates referred for the program
• Provide orientation to specific duties and BCArc policies and procedures
• Plan cooperatively with the appropriate BCArc staff and consultants for the development, promotion, and implementation of all DHSPs
• Ensure that active treatment programming for individuals funded through MassHealth (Day Habilitation) addresses the need areas identified in the program regulations
• Ensure that active treatment programming for individuals funded through the ABI Waiver (if applicable) addresses need areas including cognitive remediation, communication skills, functional living skills, behavior adaptation, rehabilitation therapies, coordination to access community support services including mental health supports, substance abuse supports, and recreation
• Train all new staff on the Day Hab Service Plans (DHSPs) of individuals in the program
