What You'll Do: Facilitate engaging, dementia-friendly activities such as music therapy, art projects, reminiscence groups, sensory stimulation, and guided movement Provide hands-on assistance with meals, toileting, mobility, and other daily needs, always preserving dignity and comfort Use gentle redirection, validation techniques, and positive communication to support participants Help create a calm, structured, and joyful environment that promotes safety and well-being Build relationships with families and work closely with a multidisciplinary team of caregivers, nurses, and activity specialists Qualifications You Are: Passionate about working with older adults and individuals with memory loss Empathetic, patient, and calm under pressure Energetic, creative, and flexible in group and one-on-one settings Comfortable with personal care assistance A dependable team player with a strong sense of purpose

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required and 18 years old
  • Ability to lift and assist individuals safely
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and TB/health clearance
  • Passionate about working with older adults and individuals with memory loss
  • Empathetic, patient, and calm under pressure
  • Energetic, creative, and flexible in group and one-on-one settings
  • Comfortable with personal care assistance
  • A dependable team player with a strong sense of purpose

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in dementia care, senior care, or adult day programs strongly preferred
  • CNA or HHA certification a plus, but not required
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire)
