About The Position

We have an immediate opening! Golden Peanut in Dawson GA (Refinery) is seeking an Day Operator Technician that is reliable and wants to grow a lasting career. This is a full-time, hourly W2 position. Schedule: This position will be day shift -7 am – 5 pm (OT as needed) We care about our people. Requirements

  • A positive attitude and team mindset
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to maintain required paperwork
  • Experience working in a factory/plant required
  • Able to lift 45-50lbs unassisted
  • Able to take phone calls and relay and document details accurately
  • A desire to learn various operations and grow with the company
  • Focus on Safety- Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture: to understand and follow all company safety procedure and use of PPE
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • That you are at least 18 years of age or older
  • The ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekends
  • That you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends)
  • Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arise
  • The ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders

  • The site requires ankle supporting height (no tennis shoes) steel toe boots.
  • ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with peanut operations is a plus
  • Experience with operations within a plant to include industrial machine operation is a plus.
  • Inventory management experience
  • Previous experience with LCS is a plus
  • Previous experience with PLC is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Completing LCS permitting and tasks
  • Boiler water testing and log sheet data entry
  • Raw material inventory and ordering
  • Facilitate daily production, maintenance, and housekeeping directives from superintendent
  • Cross training for crush and extraction
  • Back up for daily reporting of inventory
  • Daily superintendent review of production, quality, maintenance, and environmental KPI’s
  • Annual shutdown support (prep and execution)
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or lead persons
