YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES As a Day Habilitation Aide II, you'll provide active treatment, hands‑on teaching, and meaningful support to individuals with severe to profound developmental disabilities. Your presence will help them build independence, strengthen life skills, and engage confidently with their community. Every day you show up, someone's quality of life improves. You will play a key part in helping individuals thrive. This includes: Providing skilled teaching, support, and evaluations tied to habilitation goals Assisting with crisis assessment, prevention, and intervention (CPI training provided/maintained) Supporting individuals during pool and gym activities Delivering high‑quality care backed by at least one year of experience working with individuals with severe to profound developmental disabilities This position works 1:1 with patients with a full-time schedule of at least 30 hours per week. THE QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent and/or a bachelor's degree in a related field 1 year of experience working with severe to profound developmental disabled individuals, preferably in a habilitation/vocational setting Certified (or able to maintain certification) in CPR, First Aid, CPI, and safe physical intervention procedures Valid driver's license for a minimum of one year with a clean driving record Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to maintain and conduct functional life skill, behavioral, and therapeutic programs Ability to collect data and maintain records as established within the day program Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during high‑stress or emotionally charged situations Capable of hearing and responding to alarms, phones, and verbal communication at varying distances Physical ability to lift 100+ pounds with assistance or equipment multiple times per shift Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and reach overhead repeatedly during shifts Physical ability to walk or run alongside individuals for extended periods and support those with mobility impairments TAKE THE NEXT STEP! Requirements
