About The Position

The Day Center Manager is responsible for the smooth and effective operation of the PACE KC Adult Wellness Center. This includes overseeing participant arrivals and departures, meal services (breakfast and lunch), activities, and personal care services such as bathing and toileting. The role ensures the Day Center is a welcoming, supportive, and enriching environment for participants while maintaining high operational standards. The Day Center Manager supervises CNAs and direct care staff, coordinates scheduling to ensure proper staffing, and steps in to provide hands-on care when necessary. This individual will also collaborate with interdisciplinary team (IDT) members, manage compliance with health and safety regulations, and foster a participant-centered culture of care and respect.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience, preferably in a PACE program, adult day care, or similar healthcare setting.
  • CNA prefferred
  • Valid Food Handler’s License issued by the KCMO Health Department (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supervising and managing CNAs and direct care staff in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric care and interdisciplinary care coordination.

  • Directly supervise CNAs and other direct care staff to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to PACE KC standards.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules to maintain adequate coverage and ensure uninterrupted operations of the Day Center.
  • Provide clear direction and support to staff, addressing performance issues promptly and constructively.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates regarding Day Center operations.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.
  • Monitor staff compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including training and certification renewals.
  • Step in to perform CNA duties or direct care responsibilities when necessary to ensure participant needs are met.
