Day Camp Lead Counselor
About The Position
Hey there, adventure enthusiast! If you’re all about inspiring kids, leading fun outdoor activities, and making a difference, this is the gig for you. As a Day Camp Lead Counselor , you’ll guide campers through action-packed days while stepping up as a leader when needed. We’re talking swimming, games, campfire songs, and memories that last a lifetime! NOTE: This is a seasonal position running from mid-May through early August. The role requires consistent availability Monday–Friday. Shifts can be scheduled within the window of 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., but you will work no more than 8.5 hours per day, up to five days per week. Applicants must be able to commit to this schedule and availability for the full season.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Previous experience or coursework in childcare or recreation preferred
- Certifications: New Hire Orientation (before your first shift)
- CPR Pro, First Aid, and AED (within 30 days of hire)
- Passion for working with kids in an outdoor setting
- Ability to lead and motivate both campers and fellow counselors
- Strong communication and quick thinking to keep everyone safe, happy, and engaged
