About The Position

Work under the direction of the Day Camp Director to ensure that the Day Camp is in keeping with the overall plans, goals, and directions of the Corps.

Requirements

Must have completed the 9th grade.
Must be at least 15 years of age.
Experience of working with children preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Understand and uphold that Day Camp overall will have a Christian emphasis.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
Attention to detail.
A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
A commitment to the mission of the Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

Take part as a leader to youth in regard to their daily class rotation and field trips.
Assist as directed with set-up, registration time, opening, closing and clean-up.
Understand that the overall theme of the Day Camp will have a Christian emphasis.
Read, sign, and abide by the Safe-From-Harm Policy.
Attend the orientation prior to the start of Day Camp, debriefing and the final musical program.
Other duties as assigned.
