Job Objective: Provide a safe environment for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Programs. Essential Functions: Assist in the supervision of program participants in small groups as they participate in program activities as developed and implemented by the ministry program team Participate with campers in a positive, encouraging, age-appropriate manner As needed, assist in the implementation and clean up after scheduled activities Initiate activities as needed Protect the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of all program participants Encourage and promote positive relationships amongst all day camp staff Create and lead an environment that helps children and youth maintain control so that they can manage their own behavior in a socially appropriate manner. Provide appropriate discipline for children and youth as needed As needed, serve as a point of contact for parents/care givers of youth enrolled in day camp Follow, enforce and promote all rules, policies and procedures The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.
