About The Position
The Day Camp Counselor is responsible for the supervision of program participants and the implementation of on-site activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience working with children, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of a variety of sports, group games, and arts & craft activities. Ability to teach and demonstrate creativity in delivery of activities.
- Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within two (2) months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Supervise program participants in both small group and large group settings.
- Implement sports, group games, and arts & craft activities for program participants.
- Maintain District and school district equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly manner.
- Communicate effectively with participants, guardians, and staff regarding rule infractions, questions, or concerns.
