Position Summary The Day Camp Counselor (Minor) supports the delivery of fun, safe, and meaningful experiences for campers under the direct supervision of adult leadership staff. Working alongside an adult Co-Counselor and Unit Leader, the Counselor assists with daily unit activities, helps foster camper confidence and positive relationships, and contributes to a safe, inclusive camp environment through appropriate supervision, positive role modeling, and active participation in camp life. Counselors support Girl Scout–aligned programs that encourage independence, friendship, and respect for others while following Girl Scouts of Connecticut policies, American Camp Association (ACA) standards, State of Connecticut regulations, and Safety Activity Checkpoints. All responsibilities are performed under the guidance and oversight of adult staff.
