About The Position

The Baler / Sorter plays a critical role in the manufacturing industry by efficiently managing the sorting and baling of recyclable and waste materials to support sustainable production processes. This position ensures that materials are accurately separated according to type and quality standards, which directly impacts the efficiency of recycling operations and overall plant productivity. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate industrial machinery safely, including balers and conveyors.
• Basic understanding of sorting and recycling processes.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks.

• Experience with quality control procedures in a manufacturing or recycling setting.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming materials by type, quality, and condition to prepare them for baling or further processing.
• Operate baling machines safely and efficiently to compress recyclable materials into manageable bales.
• Inspect materials for contaminants or non-recyclable items and remove them to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sorting and baling areas to comply with safety and operational guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on baling equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and improve sorting processes.
• Document production data and report any issues or safety concerns promptly to management.
