While under the guidance of management, these resources will be responsible for physical upgrades, implementation, optimizations and troubleshooting onsite at two of the clients Santa Clara data centers. Lab techs will deploy circuit boards and need to be able to troubleshoot any related issues, run diagnostics, create documentation, etc. Resources will also assist in rack and stack, cabling and other common data center activities. The contractors will also be expected to have some shift flexibility. 80+% of the time they will work 1st shift (day shift) but occasionally they will be asked to work a night shift to help execute off-hour upgrades. Additional tasks will include: • Handling Labs and Datacenters using DCIM Tools, spreadsheets and task tracking tools. • Your responsibilities will also include defining standards in labs to keep them safe, clean and organized. • Deploy test boards that run automated tests from Software Developers and triage and root cause board issues which are not due to hardware or software issues but, that potentially have test setup issues. • Remove and redeploy boards that need software and/or hardware upgrades from board engineers on a regular cadence. • Collect data for critical metrics for the lab and track progress.
