About The Position

14531 - Databricks Implementation Specialist (Onsite) – Juno Beach, FL Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. Required for both roles: Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Juno Beach, FL (required); Experience with data quality, data governance, data engineering, or data analysis (3–5 years mid role; 6–10 years senior role); Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, including catalog structure, metadata standards, tagging, lineage, and domain onboarding; Experience with Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and domain-driven data design (familiarity mid role; strong understanding senior role); Experience with data quality engineering, including profiling, anomaly detection, rule development, validation frameworks, monitoring, and remediation workflows for critical data elements (CDEs); Experience with metadata management, data cataloging, and governance tools, including maintaining CDEs, KPIs, and domain terms; Experience with data lineage management, validation, and embedding data quality, lineage, and governance rules into data pipelines; Experience with data issue investigation, impact analysis, and remediation; Experience with implementing data access controls and sensitivity tagging in data platforms; Experience with SQL and Python or PySpark for data analysis and Databricks engineering (familiarity mid role; proficiency senior role); Experience with supporting or leading cross-functional data governance or data quality initiatives (support mid role; leadership senior role); 19268 Required (Senior): Experience with leading development and enforcement of enterprise standards for Databricks Unity Catalog, Medallion architecture, metadata, and cross-domain onboarding; Experience with designing and overseeing implementation of domain catalogs, lineage structures, and metadata governance in Databricks at enterprise scale; Experience with architecting complex data quality rules, automated monitoring, and quality scoring for Gold-layer data products; 19268 Preferred (Senior): Experience with governance frameworks such as DAMA or DCAM; Experience with data modeling or semantic layers; Experience with business intelligence tools such as SAP, BOBJ, and BPC; Experience with improving data catalog usability, discoverability, and trust; 19267 Preferred (Mid): Experience with collaborating directly with data stewards or data owners to translate data requirements and quality expectations into governed datasets;

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and operationalize data quality rules for critical data elements (CDEs) and monitor remediation progress
  • Perform data profiling, anomaly detection, and root-cause analysis for data quality issues
  • Support or lead the rollout of Databricks Unity Catalog across domains, including catalog structure, access controls, sensitivity tagging, and metadata standards
  • Ensure lineage, ownership, and quality rules are embedded into Databricks pipelines from ingestion through Bronze/Silver/Gold layers
  • Collaborate with business data stewards, domain data owners, and engineering teams to align on definitions, semantics, and data product requirements
  • Maintain enterprise metadata standards, glossary alignment, and lineage accuracy across all domains
  • Investigate and resolve data issues raised by business users or downstream consumers, including impact analysis for schema or rule changes
