About The Position

The Database Marketing Manager is responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Marketing Database area. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing operational goals while monitoring performance and profit objectives. The manager oversees the database function, ensuring the design, maintenance, and implementation of database management systems, and is responsible for the data integrity of the customer database. The position requires close collaboration with the Director to develop the property’s overall reinvestment strategy and manage database marketing requests and fulfillment of trackable offer campaigns related to advertising, events, promotions, entertainment, and sponsorships through various direct response marketing mediums. Additionally, the manager conducts market research, analyzes gaming industry trends, and utilizes local market dynamics to design direct mail programs. The role also includes budget management, customer service standards enforcement, direct mail production scheduling, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, or related area.
  • 5 to 10 years of progressively more challenging leadership roles in marketing or operations.
  • 5 plus years of marketing database experience in the casino industry.
  • Experience in multiple communication channels including direct mail, e-mail, and social media.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Strong client interface and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues diplomatically.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive toward results.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the budget process for the department and ensure compliance with budget initiatives.
  • Track expenses related to direct marketing programs.
  • Promote superior customer service and ensure standards are followed.
  • Create and manage direct mail production schedule and calendar.
  • Develop and execute strategies for direct marketing campaigns.
  • Work with the creative team to produce direct marketing collateral.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors for production campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
