In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions that support mission-critical software products. You will work closely with software engineers and fellow database engineers to build and maintain scalable, high-performing Oracle database systems that operate reliably under demanding and diverse use cases. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, takes ownership of their work, and is passionate about database performance and optimization.

  • Hands-on experience with: Relational data modeling Indexing and partitioning strategies Stored procedures and performance optimization
  • Experience working in a collaborative software development environment
  • Eligibility to obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain relational database models using an Oracle database backend
  • Create, enhance, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, and partitioning strategies
  • Collaborate with software engineers to support new feature development and system enhancements
  • Diagnose and resolve database performance issues by reviewing reports, debugging procedures, and analyzing database scripts
  • Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to complex data challenges
  • Maintain a high standard of quality, documentation, and ownership across all database-related work
