About The Position

BigBear.ai is seeking a Database Engineer 2 to join and assist and meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of Database experience
• Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
• Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB, Including:
• •deployment and management of the database itself
• •debugging of optimization issues
• •scaling

Nice To Haves

• Python, Django or Flask
• ReST Endpoint Development
• Micro-Service Model
• Swagger
• AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
• Docker
• Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs, JSON and/or XML serialization
• Jira, Confluence
• Git version control
• Experience working in Agile environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.
• Support agile activities for systems including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives to gather and incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.
• Model data to design local schemas, tables, data types, indexes, procedures and functions
• Work with developers during the normal application development life cycle to build features that deliver value to our customers
