About The Position

For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness. Home Delivered Meals Program provides meals to the homebound elderly residing in Queens. The program provides one hot meal and one cold pack to clients to improve the quality of their lives. Meals include Kosher, non-Kosher, Halal, Caribbean, Korean, Chinese, South Asian, and Mediterranean cuisines. The Data Base Coordinator will assist the home delivered meals program with entering units into the NYC Aging database, VIVE as well as processing all VIVE-related meal requests and changes from the associated case management program. The Data Base Coordinator shall also assist with communicating with the program’s meal caterers and create meal counts for weekly meal orders for various menu types. The Data Base Coordinator shall also assist the Program Manager with the creation and collection of the monthly statistical data and reports. STATEMENT OF THE JOB Enter home delivered meal units into the VIVE database and reconcile units daily with the paper route sheets. Entering, uploading, and maintaining accurate participant data from paper, scanners, and electronic sources into the DFTA Peer Place/VIVE Database. Navigating the VIVE system to manage client profiles, enrollments, assessments, and attendance records. Running regular reports from the database as needed Ensuring data quality, identifying potential duplicate records, and adhering to system guidelines. Adhering to DFTA data reporting requirements and working with program staff to support the Home-Delivered Meals program. Process meal service changes (i.e. meal starts, holds, resumes, menu changes and terminations) into the VIVE database Communicate with program caterers and case management program Other duties as requested based on operational needs

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or High School Diploma with one additional year of related experience.
  • One year of previous experience in data entry, data management, or with social service databases.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
  • Within 6 months of hire date learn the NYC Aging client software system (Vive) for data entry of client information and changes and home delivered meal units
  • Good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
  • Must be able to travel to conferences and other locations for trainings and meetings as needed
