About The Position

Serco is looking for a Database Administrator opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day? Discover this great opportunity in our Huntsville, AL location. Serco provides logistics sustainment and contingency support to IFRCO both OCONUS (Kuwait, Iraq & Syria) and CONUS (Redstone Arsenal, Yuma Proving Ground, and Fort Sill, OK) by conducting logistics database administration and lifecycle management of supplies. The Database Administrator will be part of a diverse team of highly talented personnel who work closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality logistics support to IFRCO CONUS and OCONUS locations. You will be part of our Huntsville based logistics team supporting multiple government customers in COLTS help desk actions, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control and Total Asset Visibility, including configuration management, distribution management, property accountability, and equipment disposition. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret Clearance In this role, you will: Provide logistician experience to: Manage supplies and conduct warehousing functions to support government and military operations in an austere environment. Conducting COLTS & ELMS classes to train IFRCO personnel. Serve as the IFRCO COLTS & ELMS Subject Matter Expert. Solving user COLTS and DPAS issues via the help desk. Provide expertise in: Utilizing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and/or government logistics databases to move systems and equipment within the Iraq theater. The use of computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) to communicate logistical transactions to contractor and government leadership.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • US citizenship
  • A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in logistics within Government/non government and/or Military operations or a High School Diploma with 8 years of experience in logistics within Government/non government and/or Military operations in lieu of degree
  • Experience using COLTS and DPAS databases to perform logistical transactions
  • Troubleshooting COLTS & DPAS databases
  • Experience utilizing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and/or Government logistics databases
  • Knowledge of various logistics forms (DD or DA) and their functions
  • Knowledge of selected computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience providing programs of instruction to teach new COLTS & ELMS users
