Reporting to the Program Manager, the Database Administrator will support the integration and maintenance across SQL Server and MySQL databases utilized by NUWC Code 25 Advanced Interactive Management Technology Center (AIMTC). This is a contingent position expected to be located in Newport, RI.

Requirements

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • Must possess an IAT Level II certification per the DoD 8570 requirements (one of the following):
  • CompTIA CySA+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CCNA Security
  • GICSP
  • GSEC
  • SSCP
  • At least five (5) years of experience in database administration supporting enterprise level databases.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and maintain databases in support of the software development process. The government estimates there are ~50 databases for integration and maintenance.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across SQL Server and MySQL databases, as part of the systems that AIMTC is responsible for, on a monthly basis, which may include Code 25 Facilities Web Page, Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS), AIMTC GIT Repository, AIMTC JIRA, AIMTC MilCloud.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
