The role of Database Administrator, Senior contributes to HighPoint to administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems.

Requirements

  • Significant knowledge of multiple Relational Database Management Systems
  • Experience with database installation, configuration and tuning.
  • Advanced technical understanding of client/server computer platforms and operating systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate changes to computer databases.
  • May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems.
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Plans and leads major technology assignments.
  • Supports QSEP SQL Server databases hosted in CMS AWS.
  • Implements data retention and archival requirements per CMS/NARA.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
  • May supervise others.
