About The Position

Foley Hoag invites eligible students to apply for our Summer 2026 Data Strategy & Analytics Internship—a hands-on opportunity ideal for students curious about a career in professional services and passionate about data. You will gain an in-depth look at how a leading law firm operates, working with attorneys and business professionals to see how we structure and categorize our work, translate legal services into actionable data, and use analytics to inform strategy. You will contribute to real projects at the intersection of law, business, and technology, and get a behind-the-scenes view of a global law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented students considering a career in business analytics to gain experience with meaningful projects under the guidance of committed mentors. This internship will take place between June and August of 2026. This is a hybrid schedule position with expected in-office days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. Eligibility and Process: This internship is available to students a ctively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree with a graduation date between December 2026 – August 2028. Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree with a graduation date between December 2026 – August 2028
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft O365, particularly Excel
  • Strong reading comprehension and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Majors/Areas of Study: Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics
  • Prior experience using AI and writing prompts is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics, Senior Analysts, and the Business Development Team on data cleanup projects
  • Conduct in depth review of metadata, identifying and correcting data errors and incorrect nulls
  • Ad hoc analytics that do not require coding (e.g. hiring analysis, write-down analysis, etc.)
