About The Position

Data Steward for Chesterfield, MO to design & deliver global breeding data pipelines; perform data & pipeline setup to meet project timelines; participate in open data efforts; coordinate intake, preparation & resolution of data support tickets for cross-functional stakeholders; define data quality rules & implement automated monitoring, reporting and remediation solutions; apply root cause analysis to prevent or reduce data quality issues; support data migration from legacy systems, data inserts & updates. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of Chesterfield, MO up to 3 wks per month. Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $95,000.00 to $112,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Requirements

Master’s in C.S., Data Science, I.T. or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience
profiling data & summarizing and reporting data quality metrics
manipulating data accessed by APIs using scripting languages, including Python, R, Pipeline Pilot and/or ETL
querying SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including Oracle & Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, to deploy and leverage data analytics
using Cloud computing services, including AWS and/or Google Cloud, to perform big data analysis & democratize results
identifying & resolving data quality issues using Pipeline Pilot protocols
generating & delivering detailed technical reports by leveraging data visualization tools, including Spotfire and Tableau
using APIs to automate & integrate data quality solutions
creating technical documentation, including procedure guides, data dictionary definitions & database table and/or column descriptions, to enrich metadata and enable data discovery
