About The Position

AcuityMD is a software and data platform that accelerates access to medical technologies. We help MedTech companies understand how their products are used, why customers vary, and identify opportunities for physicians to better serve their patients. Each year, the FDA approves ~6,000 new medical devices. Our solution helps MedTech companies get these products to physicians more effectively so they can improve patient care with the latest technology. We're backed by Benchmark, Redpoint, ICONIQ Growth, and Ajax Health. We’re a high-growth SaaS company scaling rapidly. We are hiring a Data Solutions Engineer to articulate and champion the AcuityMD approach to data and how it drives business results for our MedTech clients. You will be customer-facing and will build relationships throughout the customer journey, across both pre- and post-sales interactions. You will design and lead demonstrations, define business requirements, help prospects overcome hurdles during the sales process, and help our customers envision the value of AcuityMD for their teams.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience serving as a healthcare data subject matter expert as a consultant, data analyst, sales engineer, data engineer, or in a similar customer-facing role
  • You have a deep understanding of medical claims and other healthcare data
  • You are passionate about harnessing data and algorithms to drive MedTech commercial effectiveness or sales enablement
  • You have an excellent ability to craft and deliver tailored data-centric or technical presentations
  • You are highly empathetic to customer needs and have a proven track record of collaborating with colleagues and customers
  • You have great interpersonal skills and are enthusiastic about teaching data
  • You have executive-level communication skills (both in presentation and writing), and can effectively communicate sophisticated business software and data concepts
  • You have experience using AI tools, including Claude and Chat GPT and regularly apply them to your work to drive efficiency
  • You must have an eligible work permit in the USA to be considered for this position

Nice To Haves

  • You have experience managing enterprise SaaS, healthcare data, or healthcare consulting projects
  • You have experience using Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Python, and similar BI-tools to support creation and delivery of customer-facing reports
  • You are proficient in using SQL (or equivalent) to understand and build empathy for healthcare datasets

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate, showcase, and explain AcuityMD’s approach to core data, data quality, and algorithms to customers
  • Articulate how AcuityMD data products contribute to critical functionality and support our business case with customers
  • Collaborate with customers to define business requirements related to AcuityMD core data or algorithms
  • Leverage expertise in healthcare data, coding, and data analysis to develop and deliver data solutions for customers
  • Serve as a key point of subject matter expertise for customers and colleagues on data-related questions
  • Maintain deep expertise in the functionality, underlying data, and business case for all aspects of the AcuityMD platform
  • Collaborate with the sales, customer experience, product, and data teams to uncover and address business and data challenges in the customer lifecycle
  • Collaborate with the Professional Services and Customer Success teams to serve as a subject matter expert for using healthcare data to drive targeting strategies
  • Interface with product and product marketing teams to refine messaging and product roadmap
