POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Data Scrubber reviews the medical record and identifies alignment of contents with regulatory requirements. Scrubbing is necessary to ensure data accurately reflects our clinical efforts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED. Associates Degree Preferred. Experience considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of two (1) year experience in an inpatient or ambulatory clinical setting.
  • Experience with medical terminology and excel.
  • Beginner skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Ability and experience in navigating electronic health records/ electronic medical records.
  • Detail oriented and work product has a very high level of accuracy
  • Ability to meet requested timeline
  • English fluency and prompt responsiveness
  • Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities in conjunction with meeting goals
  • Ability to be flexible, versatile and adaptable in day-to-day activities conducted in a multi-site environment

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred familiarity with eClinicalWorks and HealthCare Quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Determines if required documentation is contained within CCHS designated area of the medical record.
  • Determines if required documentation is contained anywhere within CCHS medical record.
  • Records findings of reviews using approved templates
  • Participates in outcomes and quality improvement initiatives/ performance improvement teams.
  • Compiles and communicates findings to the appropriate leaders as directed.
  • Supports the Quality team administratively as needed.
  • Follows priorities and makes recommendations for improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
