About The Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, AI, and machine learning, with a specific focus on financial data. This role will involve working closely with various departments to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Requirements

• 5-7 years as a Data Scientist with a history of increasing responsibilities, preferably in the financial industry
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• SAFe for Teams (SP) certification required to collaborate effectively within Agile Release Trains or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
• Use AI responsibly and in alignment with policy, including ongoing learning, and incorporate AI into routine tasks such as drafting communications, summarizing meetings, and organizing information.
• BA/BS in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build Baker Hill’s Data Analytics platform from the ground up. Including designing the data warehouse, creating the ETL layer, publishing data visualizations, and maintaining practical application for teams across the organization.
• Analyze and interpret complex financial datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and visualizations.
• Utilize technologies available in Microsoft Azure for data storage, processing, and analysis.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, AI, and financial analytics.
