About The Position

itD is seeking a Data Scientist to produce innovative, data-driven solutions through exploratory analysis of complex, high-dimensional datasets. This role contributes directly to product improvement and business decision-making by transforming raw data into actionable insights, scalable models, and impactful prototypes. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in data science, statistics, and machine learning, along with a proven ability to analyze large datasets and deliver meaningful analytical outcomes. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or research-focused roles.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with data querying and analysis using SQL.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex analytical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Exposure to product experimentation, A/B testing, or large-scale analytics initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in computer science or a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, opportunities, and insights within complex datasets.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms to optimize value extraction from data.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to generate hypotheses, test assumptions, and interpret experimental results.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to translate analytical prototypes into scalable products, services, and features.
  • Support business intelligence and data visualization efforts, including dashboard development and ad-hoc analytical requests.
  • Analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to meet defined analytical deliverables and reporting requirements.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
