As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Data Science Intern to join our team in Northbrook, IL. Software & Advisory (S&A) We solve our customers’ problems. "Helping clients meet their safety and performance goals means understanding their business processes from start to finish and not just focusing on project parameters." UL Solutions’ Software & Advisory (S&A) services help customers reduce complexity, ensure compliance, improve quality and operational performance, and drive sustainability. This role will work within the Revenue Operations team to help identify, expose, and analyze data trends. Our Revenue Operations team has done a great job to standardize our reporting in 2025, helping evolve our Software Sales organization as a whole. In 2026, our goal is to now provide actionable data insights that the sales team can leverage to identify and close opportunities.

Requirements

  • Rising senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in: Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science or similar area
  • Passionate about uncovering insights in large datasets
  • Demonstrates a self‑starter mindset, taking initiative to shape project scopes creatively and drive outcomes independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., PBI, SQL, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Indefinite right to work in the United States

Benefits

  • The hourly rate for this role is $23.00-$25.00.
  • Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus to assist with housing, travel, and other relocation expenses, subject to terms and conditions.
