The Dries Lab is seeking a skilled computational scientist with a strong software engineering background to join our lab and lead the development of a spatial ATAC-seq analysis pipeline for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET) data. The successful candidate will be responsible for building robust, scalable workflows for processing, analysis, and visualization of spatial chromatin accessibility data, from raw data handling through to biological interpretation. A key aspect of the role involves integrating spatial ATAC-seq data with complementary modalities within complex bioinformatics ecosystems, including Giotto Suite. The candidate will contribute to and extend existing tooling, requiring a high standard of software engineering practice — including clean, well-documented, and maintainable code — and the ability to navigate and build upon large, multi-package frameworks.
