About The Position

GENERAL OVERVIEW: This position provides data reporting and systems support to assigned programs. The incumbent will coordinate data collection and reporting requirements and implement quality improvement strategies to ensure that data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. The position will also be responsible for systems support within the department. The incumbent's expertise and judgment will be pivotal in data-related decisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in information management or a related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • 2 years’ experience with reporting databases and/or managing the systems and data needs of a department
  • Excellent data management and analytical skills

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in healthcare and with healthcare systems, and federal regulations and policies

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of data collection for assigned programs or systems to comply with the provisions of applicable regulations and standards, including compiling relevant reports for projects.
  • Design, create, and maintain reports and queries and distribute to the appropriate leadership.
  • Develop database management guidelines and quality processes to ensure final operational data is compliant, accurate, complete and consistent. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Provide comprehensive software and system support for the department, troubleshooting a wide range of technical problems, managing program/system data, and integrating the program's/system's data with other internal and external data systems.
  • Assist in providing ongoing summary of findings used to identify workflow/system issue and provide recommendations for quality processes and system enhancements.
  • Conduct user training on tool functionality, reporting, and best practices to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant operations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with software provider and IT support for ongoing and future system interface projects. Collaborate with IT and stakeholders on system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements.
  • Analyze and assess available data reporting software packages and provide recommendations on which packages would best suit the needs of the department.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service focus, maintaining transparent communication and positive relationships, and incorporating diverse stakeholder needs into departmental decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
