Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; five or more years of experience in product management, analytics, or related roles; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Data and analytics concepts (metrics, dashboards, data products)
  • Agile product ownership and backlog management practices
  • Requirements definition and prioritization techniques
  • Familiarity with analytics and AI delivery lifecycles
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments
  • Strong outcome-oriented decision-making skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements
  • Ability to communicate priorities and value across diverse audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Product management or Agile certifications preferred
  • Data or analytics certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining, prioritizing, and owning data products delivered on the enterprise Microsoft Fabric platform. This role ensures that data, analytics, and AI initiatives are aligned to business outcomes and that delivered data products are trusted, adopted, and measurable.
  • Establishes a product-centric operating model for data that will scale across the organization over time.
  • Acts as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, the Data Product Owner translates strategic objectives into clear, actionable data, analytics, and AI requirements.
  • Accountable for ensuring that delivered data products drive measurable business outcomes, are adopted by users, and continue to evolve based on feedback and changing needs.
  • Ensure that the data platform delivers sustained value over time rather than isolated technical solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value data products aligned to business goals.
  • Define success metrics, KPIs, and acceptance criteria for data products.
  • Manage and refine the data product backlog in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure product requirements align with platform standards.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment, communication, and change management.
  • Measure data product usage, value, and continuous improvement.
