Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Data Operations and working closely with our DW/ETL team, the Data Product Developer will have primary responsibility for all Power BI and Report Builder development across multiple Fabric workspaces, utilizing best practices to maintain consistency, accuracy and usability across our reporting platforms, driving meaningful insights for our back, middle, and front office stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in both Power BI and Report Builder, adept at translating stakeholder requirements into actionable, phased development projects, highly analytical, comfortable working independently, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years as a Power BI and Report Builder developer
  • Experience publishing to Fabric workspaces
  • Experience working with SQL database models
  • Experience developing in T-SQL
  • Experience driving insights using reactive, proactive or statistical analysis
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with stakeholders of varying technical abilities
  • Documentation skills
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work all hours necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Competency with Tableau
  • Experience with medallion architected data models
  • Experience in the Staffing Industry
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Bullhorn, PSFT FS and HR, and/or Workday data

Responsibilities

  • Develop new data products and enhance legacy data products in Power BI and Report Builder for a variety of stakeholders utilizing data from an enterprise Azure Synapse Data Warehouse
  • Validate stakeholder requirements, complete internal and assigned QA to ensure data is accurate.
  • Conduct and document stakeholder UAT
  • Comply with SDLC policies and procedures regarding QA/UAT and deployment pipelines
  • Utilize project management and development management tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS Loop to track, communicate and document development work
  • Support stakeholders by identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues with production data products
  • Collaborate with Self-Service/Process Engineer to develop data product bookmarks and subscriptions that optimize user experience
  • Provide education and training to stakeholders
  • Develop mastery of the OGR data sources, including operational knowledge of our CRM, ERP and other sources, as well as the DW medallion architecture
  • Collaborate with DW/ETL team to ensure consistency, accuracy and usability across all data products by identifying optimizations upstream in the data model
  • Audit data products on a regular cadence to ensure accuracy, consistency, optimization and alignment with business strategies
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders using appropriate tools including MS Teams
  • Execute QA for DW/ETL projects/datasets
  • Collaborate with Data Ops team executing large migration or other operational projects
  • Other duties as assigned
