About The Position

The Data Processor will use computer software to prepare, organize, and correct electronic files consisting of names, addresses, phone numbers, demographics, as well as related information for direct marketing purposes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Access, Word, Office).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BCC Mail Manager and general mail industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare incoming customer data for mailing requirements including personalization,USPSpostal preparation, and specific client requirements following department procedures.
  • Set up andinitiatethe following processes:
  • File reformatting
  • Merge / purge/ duplicationroutines
  • NCOA (National Change of Address)
  • DSF (Delivery Sequence File)
  • Prepares databased for inkjet printing or forhigh-speedvariable printing
  • Variable Data Programming forvariable data printoutput
  • Other specialized outputs needed for mailing
  • Reviews work outputs for accuracy
  • Manages own daily work schedule to meet deadlinesand individual required benchmarks
  • Create all USPS paperwork necessary for mail entry: qualification reports, postage statements, tray tags.
  • Validate data file information, define and import database, build necessary conditional logic statements
  • Complete all ISO quality forms/checklistasrequiredfor each job
  • Follow job ticket specifications and directions
  • Maintain confidentiality of data
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures when it relates to the protection of data
  • Other duties as assigned
