About The Position

The Data Processing Services Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs the work of the Service Support Operations Unit. This includes supervising technical resources performing production operations activities, Major Incident Response Team (MIRT) participation, and infrastructure support of multiple FTB systems supporting FTB's Personal Income Tax and Business Entities Tax programs. The Information Technology Supervisor II is required to follow the State's management policies and standards, while adhering to industry accepted IT management principles and disciplines. The incumbent ensures effective and consistent application of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.The Information Technology Supervisor II provides services which encompasses the System Engineering domain. Requirements

  • Must meet the Minimum Requirements stated in the Class Specification.
  • Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

  • Where the position requires the driving of an automobile, the employee must have a valid state driver's license, a good driving record and is expected to drive the car safely.

  • Knowledge of FTB Legacy systems such as WASS, PASS, eGateway
  • Experience leading staff through systematic and/or workload changes
  • Knowledge of the Department's IT services, systems, applications, infrastructure and database technologies
