As a Data Owner Lead for Marketing, you will be accountable for the marketing data product that is created, provisioned, or consumed to support business objectives, analytics, operations, and reporting. You will work as part of the data team and partner with product, design, and technology leaders to deliver data that meets quality and safety expectations. You will help us turn well-governed, well-understood data into practical outcomes by connecting data providers and data consumers and enabling analytics use cases.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a data-related field.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product or business data and related processes.
  • Working knowledge of data management and data governance concepts.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms and/or data architecture concepts.
  • Ability to manage delivery timelines and keep work on track to meet goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver outcomes through strong internal partnerships and influence without authority.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to senior audiences.
  • Strong structuring and problem-solving skills with sound business judgment.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery practices and ways of working.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Marketing domain experience or demonstrated knowledge of marketing data and processes.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience enabling advanced analytics use cases by integrating product data into analytics platforms.
  • Experience establishing practical data quality measures (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) and driving issue resolution at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute plans for the development and delivery of marketing product data to support business objectives, operations, analytics, metrics, and reporting.
  • Serve as the marketing product data subject matter expert and drive shared understanding of how data is defined and used.
  • Define the scope of critical data elements for the product and ensure they are documented, understood, and appropriately classified with metadata.
  • Partner across business teams to define data requirements, support data discovery, and assess feasibility and dependencies.
  • Partner with analytics leadership to identify data needed for analytics platforms and initiatives that drive business outcomes.
  • Define and document expectations for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, and coordinate delivery of agreed data quality outcomes.
  • Influence partners to remediate data issues quickly, balancing urgency with risk management and sustainability.
  • Establish processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across the data lifecycle, including protection, retention, storage, use, quality, and disposition.
  • Drive execution of work required to meet firmwide data integrity and protection standards, coordinating across stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships with business, technology, analytics, operations, and risk and control partners to align delivery and outcomes.
  • Track milestones, risks, bottlenecks, workstreams, and key performance indicators to ensure successful delivery of data outcomes; lead direct or matrixed team members as needed.
