Job Summary The Data Migration Workstream Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities related to the transfer of data from source systems to target systems during major initiatives such as system upgrades, consolidations, or new implementations. This role ensures data integrity, accuracy, security, and a smooth transition while minimizing disruption to ongoing business operations. The Data Migration Workstream Lead serves as the primary owner of the data migration effort, coordinating across technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver a successful and reliable migration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience leading or supporting data migration efforts
  • Demonstrated experience managing data migrations for system upgrades, consolidations, or new implementations
  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and governance practices
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • US citizenship required and the ability to obtain a CBP security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving as a data migration or conversion lead on enterprise implementations
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data migration tools
  • Experience supporting ERP, HCM, financial, or large-scale enterprise systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance precision and delivery timelines
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, or regulated environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end data migration workstream throughout the project lifecycle
  • Define and oversee data migration strategy, scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL) activities
  • Ensure data integrity, completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation between source and target systems
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate data requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify, track, and mitigate data-related risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Oversee data cleansing, mapping, and conversion rules
  • Support data testing cycles, including system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and retention standards
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting on migration progress, risks, and readiness
  • Support cutover planning and post-migration validation to ensure operational continuity
