About The Position

A Data Manager is crucial for efficient database management in an organization. You will apply knowledge of database management systems to oversee database performance, storage, analysis, and ensure database accuracy, security, compliance, and scalability. You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop strategies, implement governance policies, optimize data quality, and aid in decision-making. Requirements

  • Proven experience 5 years working with marketing data and metrics, preferably in a marketing agency or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, practices, and technologies, including data cleansing and data governance
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting using tools like AirTable, Excel, Jira and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets and an understanding of relational database and data mining techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and experience in ensuring data privacy and security is highly desirable

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with marketing platforms, digital marketing channels, and CRM systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer existing database systems that support operational menu board management systems by monitoring performance, managing storage, and ensuring efficient data retrieval.
  • Oversee data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting processes to provide accurate and timely insights for various marketing campaigns, initiatives, and targets
  • Test, coordinate, and support the installation of database upgrades, new software features, or system enhancements in collaboration with programmers from the creative technology team.
  • Define and manage database user access levels and permissions to ensure appropriate access control and protection of sensitive information.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines and documentation for the use and acquisition of software
  • Monitor data quality and integrity through routine validation, auditing, and troubleshooting to ensure database accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide training and technical support to team members on database usage, data management tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., analytics, IT, and business development) to ensure database systems support operational needs and comply with data governance requirements and direct analysts to make any changes to the database.
  • Stay informed on emerging database technologies, tools, and industry best practices to support continuous improvement of database systems and processes.
  • Work with internal teams to identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve the efficiency of database-related processes.
