The Data Intelligence Associate supports the end-to-end setup, implementation, and quality assurance of data and measurement required to track, optimize, and evaluate paid media performance. This role assists in ensuring that campaigns are measurable, data is reliable, and performance insights are available in real time to support decision-making across media pods.

Requirements

  • 0 to 1 years of experience in a data, analytics, or digital media role, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Foundational understanding of the paid media landscape, including digital advertising channels, tracking methodologies, and campaign measurement.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and paid media platform pixels.
  • Basic understanding of the customer journey and how data touchpoints connect across paid media channels.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast paced, collaborative agency environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly when managing multiple campaign tracking needs simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator who can clearly flag issues and questions to senior team members.
  • HLK employees are required to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week. Therefore, we are only accepting local St Louis or Chicago applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of measurement tracking aligned to success metrics and campaign KPIs as defined by the Customer Experience team.
  • Support the setup and configuration of tracking solutions, including GTM, GA4, platform pixels, and conversion events.
  • Help ensure data collection supports accurate attribution, optimization, and performance analysis across channels.
  • Conduct QA of tracking implementations prior to campaign launch, including validation of events, parameters, and data flow under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Monitor live data for discrepancies, gaps, or anomalies and escalate issues for resolution.
  • Follow and help maintain established standards for data governance, naming conventions, and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting views that provide timely, actionable performance insights within LookerStudio, Tableau, and Snowflake.
  • Support Media Planners and Buyers by helping ensure data is accessible, interpretable, and reliable.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities to improve measurement approaches, tracking sophistication, and data usability.
  • Stay current on analytics tools, platform updates, and privacy considerations impacting measurement.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Traffic, and Platform teams to help ensure tracking and data needs are integrated into execution workflows.
  • Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues that impact performance assessment or reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to documentation and training materials related to data setup and measurement best practices.
