About The Position

The Data Governance & Strategy Manager plays a key role within the Central Data Office (CDO) organization by supporting the Data Governance initiatives, raising data quality and the support of related projects across the enterprise. This role works with data stewards and data custodians to implement and maintain data governance programs and improve data quality. In addition, this role develops and maintains a working relationship with various information support teams to leverage data value across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years progressive experience in MIS, Information Management or similar reporting/analytics function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills and communication skills.
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Advanced working knowledge and understanding of database reporting and analytical skills.
  • Must have an advanced understanding of the SQL query language and BI reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Enterprise Data Governance tools such as Informatica Axon, Informatica Data Quality, Enterprise Data Catalog and other tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and analysis to rationalize and support the various Data Governance programs and Data Quality initiatives including onboarding contents to Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) and building rules in Informatica Data Quality.
  • Administer Data Governance activities and ensure collaboration from Data Stewards, Data Owners, business SMEs and IT stakeholders.
  • Maintain Data Governance documentation and mature data documentation standards to meet any internal and external needs.
  • Identify, document and coordinate the roll-out of Data Governance Policies & Procedures and standards. Furthermore, serve as an ambassador of the Data Governance policies.
  • Produce reports demonstrating data governance effectiveness and monitor and manage projects timeline and status.
  • Train and articulate to the other departmental professionals regarding the benefits and need for Data Governance and Data Quality.
