About The Position

The Data Governance & Business Analyst plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s data and CRM convergence strategy, with a strong focus on platform scalability, data quality, and user experience. This role will champion enterprise data governance strategy, focusing on Snowflake, metadata visibility, and data pipeline integration. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, data governance, and platform enablement, ensuring that data, reporting, and CRM capabilities support current and future business needs across practices. This individual is responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into actionable deliverables while also defining and operationalizing data governance standards that ensure data consistency, compliance, and usability across platforms such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Snowflake, and enterprise integration pipelines. The role partners closely with other members of the Business Solutions Product Management team, delivery teams, data engineering, and cross functional stakeholders to proactively identify platform gaps, improve endtoend workflows, and reduce the need for reactive or short-term fixes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Experience working with data warehousing and analytics platforms, including Snowflake.
  • Experience supporting Agile teams and tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience supporting enterprise‑scale platform or process transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct data warehousing, data modeling, or Master Data Management (MDM) concepts a plus.
  • Experience with Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar data governance platforms.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Salesforce business processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, MuleSoft, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory preferred.
  • Experience working in Insurance or Finance Services industry is a plus.
  • SAFe or Agile related certification is a plus.
  • Snowflake, Atlan, or data governance frameworks certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross functional workshops to elicit, refine, and prioritize business requirements related to CRM, data, reporting, and integrations.
  • Document business processes, data flows, system interactions across Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and related platforms.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support delivery teams throughout design, testing, and deployment to ensure solutions align with business intent.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, PI planning) and contribute to delivery tracking in Azure DevOps.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define success metrics and ensure reporting and data solutions align with business goals.
  • Design and support scalable data governance frameworks that promote data quality, consistency, security, and compliance across the enterprise.
  • Manage and contribute to governance activities within Snowflake, including data modeling, access controls, and quality monitoring.
  • Leverage tools such as Atlan (or similar platforms) to improve metadata management, data lineage, and data discoverability.
  • Define and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and governance standards.
  • Monitor data quality metrics, identify issues, and coordinate remediation efforts with data engineering and business teams.
  • Support regulatory and data privacy initiatives through strong governance and documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure governance is embedded in ETL/ELT pipelines, including those built with SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
  • Support reporting and dashboard initiatives using Power BI, ensuring consistent, trusted, and well- governed data sources.
  • Assist with CRM data and process alignment across Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, including referral workflows and cross practice collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for platform improvements, quick wins, and longer‑term enhancements that improve usability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to data stewards and business users on governance tools and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Advocate for sustainable, well governed solutions that minimize manual workarounds and rework.
