About The Position

The Senior Data Governance Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing processes related to metadata management, reference data management and data quality monitoring. This position is expected to have hands-on experience with the technical solution selected for the Data Governance program and good understanding of Data Governance principles and processes. This role will directly report to the Data Governance Manager, performing analysis on a variety of routine to moderately complex projects under general supervision and typically leading moderately complex initiatives or projects. Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings Data Governance Analyst (Staff, Senior, or Consultant) Number of Openings: 2 We are hiring two Data Governance Analysts and are open to candidates at the Staff, Senior, or Consultant level depending on experience and skill alignment. These roles support enterprise data governance initiatives and may align more closely with one of the two focus areas outlined below. Candidates do not need to meet both focus areas to be considered. Pay Ranges (Hourly) Staff: $39.57 – $62.29 Senior: $43.92 – $69.16 Consultant: $54.12 – $85.20 Level placement will be based on qualifications and experience. Position Focus Areas Position #1: Business & Process‑Focused Data Governance / Master Data Management This role focuses on business‑driven, technology‑enabled provider and location master data management (MDM). The emphasis is on stakeholder alignment, data standards, and governance operating models. Position #2: Technical Data Governance & Collibra Enablement This is a hands‑on, technically strong role focused on building integrations, configuring Collibra in depth, and operationalizing enterprise data governance through automation.

Requirements

  • Experience in performing key Data Governance work such as data cataloging, data lineage, data classification, reference data management, and business glossary management
  • Experience with system and data integration via API
  • Experience with major Electronic Health Record (EHR) vended solutions and deep understanding of the backend data architecture and data modeling
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficient knowledge about database design, ETL processes and data mapping
  • Experience with data quality monitoring data quality improvement
  • Experience as a “team player” and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across and at all levels within the organization
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in IT or analytics related fields. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education or experience is verified
  • Experience in an analyst or engineer role working with data governance technologies and processes
  • Certification or training in data governance or related areas (e.g., DMBoK, CDMP, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Define and set system of record / source‑of‑truth strategies
  • Identify and partner with data owners and stewards; define and approve data standards and definitions
  • Drive adherence to standards, particularly for provider and location attributes and code sets
  • Align clinical, operational, and analytics stakeholders around common roadmaps and outcomes
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to surface data pain points, reconcile definitions, and prioritize use cases
  • Guide MDM platform and operating model decisions to deliver sustainable, measurable outcomes
  • Build and maintain bi‑directional integrations (via API and MCP) between Collibra and systems such as Databricks, Epic, ServiceNow, and others
  • Implement and manage governance processes using Collibra workflows and automation patterns
  • Design and configure the governance operating model and asset metamodel within Collibra
  • Establish governed business terms and metric definitions by partnering with enterprise stakeholders
  • Support adoption of data governance practices through scalable, automated solutions
  • Conducts the implementation and ongoing management of Data Governance tools
  • Designs, coordinates and develops processes related to data ingestion, data lineage, data classification and data search
  • Collaborates with data subject matter experts to capture the definition of business terms and metrics
  • Develops and configures data quality monitoring rules and processes
  • Conducts the root cause analysis of detected data quality issues
  • Builds data mapping across systems to allow semantic comparability and interoperability for operational and analytics projects
  • Applies best terminology management practices in maintaining reference data for various Intermountain clinical, business and analytical applications
  • Engages and educates business and technical data users across the enterprise for continuous participation and adherence to key data governance and stewardship policies
  • Ensures that documentation, data quality, and best practices are followed by teams across the data supply chain as key data assets are optimally leveraged and administered through the Data Governance program
  • Maintains technical knowledge of data management industry best practices, including those specific to healthcare
