About The Position

The Data Entry Specialist – Drilling Operations is responsible for accurately researching, entering, organizing, and maintaining drilling-related data received from multiple field locations. This role supports various departments by ensuring timely and precise data processing, contributing to operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with data systems, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-department environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, sorting/filtering), database software, and other data management tools.
  • Fast, precise typing skills (high WPM) are crucial.
  • Must have a keen eye for identifying errors and inconsistencies.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and maintain structured systems.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods.
  • Valid TX Driver’s License is required.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, review, and update large volumes of drilling data from various field sites.
  • Maintain and organize spreadsheets and databases to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate directly with Drilling, Geology, Operations, Environmental, and other departments to gather needed information.
  • Identify and report data discrepancies or missing information.
  • Prepare reports or summaries and compile records using Microsoft Excel and internal data tools.
  • Assist with document control, data tracking, and general administrative support.
  • Sorts, scans and files records as needed.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Responsible for all other duties assigned.
