About The Position

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining accurate part routing information within the JR Metal Works system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient production flow by coordinating with vendors, supporting internal teams, and prioritizing work to meet operational demand. The Data Entry Clerk must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working cross-functionally to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.

Requirements

Attention to detail and accuracy, especially with data entry and technical information.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Effective communicative skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (experience preferred but not required).
Proficiency in computer systems and willingness to learn company-specific software.

Enter and maintain accurate part routing data in the company system to support production and scheduling needs.
Request quotes from vendors and actively follow up to ensure timely and competitive responses.
Communicate effectively with team members across departments to resolve discrepancies or routing issues.
Prioritize and manage workload based on job urgency and production schedules.
Identify and escalate potential delays, material issues, or process gaps that could impact production timelines.
Maintain organized records of quotes, routing updates, and vendor communications.
