We are seeking a Data Engineer who is passionate about cloud engineering, energized by complex technical challenges, and eager to work on solutions that directly impact millions of customers and communities. As a Data Engineer, you will: Design, build, and maintain analytics infrastructure, data storage solutions, processing pipelines, and data‑management interfaces. Apply modern engineering practices including Agile, automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and secure‑by‑design principles. Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance performance and reliability across production systems. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and grid subject‑matter experts to translate real operational challenges into elegant, maintainable solutions. You’ll work with a broad set of AWS and engineering technologies, including: AWS Services: EMR, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, DynamoDB, Athena, S3, Lake Formation, ECR, CloudWatch (and more) Languages & Tools: SQL, Python, Terraform Practices: Agile, TDD, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD We choose the right combination of tools to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost‑efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 1 years related work experience
  • In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 4 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 3 year(s) related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)
  • Strong data‑management skills and proficiency with SQL
  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure and tooling for building data and model workflows
  • Experience with Python development
  • Ability to design scalable solutions and balance performance with cost considerations
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, TDD, and CI/CD practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to build secure, reliable, and maintainable systems
  • A collaborative, growth‑oriented mindset and enthusiasm for fast‑paced, cutting‑edge engineering work
