Your Impact: This role offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience working with data at scale in a fast-growing SaaS unicorn. As a Data Engineer Intern, you will directly contribute to building reliable and clean data infrastructure, enabling our analysts and data scientists to derive key business insights, which in turn improves our products and operations globally. You will be supported by a dedicated mentor, ensuring you learn modern cloud data practices while making a tangible impact on Deliverect's platform and customer success. This is a full-time, hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Ghent, Belgium office and 2 days from the comfort of your home.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with SQL and basic programming skills (Python preferred).
• A strong interest in learning and working with cloud technologies and data engineering concepts (no prior GCP expertise required-we'll teach you!).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong willingness to learn new concepts and technologies in a supportive team environment.
• A collaborative spirit and effective communication skills for working within a close-knit, international team.
• Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills being essential.
• Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the country where the role is based

Nice To Haves

• Any previous experience with cloud platforms, data tools, Git, or data pipeline concepts

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines using modern tools like Airflow, dbt, and BigQuery within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
• Clean and organize raw data, transforming it into clear, reliable, and useful datasets to support advanced analysis and data science initiatives.
• Collaborate actively with the data team to solve real data challenges, continuously improve our data systems, and learn new GCP tools and best practices.
• Support the team by ensuring data availability and quality, directly impacting the accuracy of business reporting and the development of new data-driven product features.
